Colors

Lately, Annabelle has been into coloring. I have a stack of colored paper that sits in the bottom drawer of our desk. Annabelle discovered them one day and she loves to get the crayons out and color. These are our latest pictures we've drawn and colored together:
The nice thing is that this has given me an excellent chance to teach Annabelle her colors. She caught on very quickly and now knows all the colors of the rainbow as well as black and brown. It's so amazing to me how quickly little kids can grasp concepts and understand them. Here's a video showing how smart my little girl is.

And these are just some cute pictures of Annabelle.

That video is so cute! I have to say that I did take part in helping Annabelle learn her colors. Remember? The first experience of colors was with that toy. Know what I'm talking about? :D Hah, love you!

A poem for Annabelle from Grma Heidi:
'A' is for academically she's way beyond her years;
'n' is for the nearly perfect parents who wipe her tears;
'n' is for the noise that's come from months of growing pain;
'a' is for the awesome ways her Mommy styles her mane;
'b' is for her 'belly' that is plump and ticklish too
'e' is for the energy she has except when blue;
'l' is for her laughing eyes that look a bit 'Chinese-ee';
'l' is for her laughter that makes grown-ups act like 'spas-es' (like her Grandma Heidi so she can hear more laughter!);
'e' is for the ecstacy she brings to all her kin-
You've shown you're as good as any game and scored a super win!!
I love you soooo much (Miss Lindsey & Michael, too).
XOXOXOXOXO
P.S. Keep sending videos & photos!
